Prediction Markets

Information Markets, Decision Exchanges, Idea Futures & Virtual Markets
Also known as information markets, decision markets, idea futures, and virtual markets, prediction markets are markets created for the purpose of making predictions. Contracts are created whose final value is tied to a particular event or outcome.  The current market prices of the contracts are interpreted as predictions of the probability of the event or outcome. Prediction markets are useful tools for corporations. Some leading enterprise users are Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft, Eli Lilly, Abbott Laboratories, Intel and Siemens.
